Your birth. Your story. Your support.
Birth + Postpartum doula care.
Serving Grants Pass, Medford, and surrounding communities.
Maybe you’re wondering what having a doula actually looks like.
You don’t need another person telling you how your birth should go. You need someone who will listen to what matters to you, help you understand your options, and be there when you need support.
As your doula, I’ll get to know you during pregnancy, help you prepare for birth, support you through labor, and check in with you afterwards as you settle into life with your baby.
Hi, Im Kat
I’m a birth and postpartum doula, a mom, and a Southern Oregon local.
I believe birth can be one of the most transformative experiences of our lives. It can be intense, powerful, beautiful, and even euphoric. I want more women to walk away from their births feeling like they were an active part of the experience - not simply that they made it through. It’s a privilege to help create the space for that kind of birth experience.
My role isn’t to tell you how to birth. It’s to listen to what matters to you, help you understand your options, and offer steady compassionate support along the way.
Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, hoping for an epidural, preparing for a cesarean, or simply trying to figure out what you want your birth to look like, I’m here to meet you where you are.
I’d be honored to be part of your story

PREPARE
When labor begins, I’ll be there to provide continuous physical and emotional support - whether that means movement and positioning, comfort measures, encouragement, or simply staying beside you.
SUPPORT
After your baby arrives, I’ll check in, help you process your birth, support early feeding, and help you feel more confident as you find your rhythm at home.
SETTLE IN
Your partner doesn’t have to do it all.
A doula isn’t there to replace your partner. I’m there to support both of you.
I’ll give your partner practical ways to help, demonstrate comfort measures, help them recognize what’s happening during labor, and step in when they need a moment to breathe.
You get another set of hands. They get support too.
And then you bring your baby home!
Birth is only the beginning.
The first weeks with a newborn can be beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming, and all of those things at once. Postpartum support is about caring for you while you learn your new baby and find your rhythm as a family.

I attend home births, birth center births, and hospital births throughout Southern Oregon (Grants Pass, Medford, Rogue River and surrounding areas).

Many families hire a doula between 20 and 30 weeks of pregnancy, but it's never too early to reach out. Booking earlier gives us more time to get to know each other and prepare for your birth.
-
Choosing a doula is a personal decision. During our consultation, we'll have a chance to get to know each other, talk about your hopes for birth, and answer any questions you have. My hope is that you leave feeling confident in whatever decision you make even if that's not with me.
-
Yes. I support families through many different birth experiences. While I have a deep appreciation for physiologic birth and enjoy helping families prepare for an unmedicated labor when that's their goal, I also recognize that every pregnancy and birth is unique. Whether you're planning a VBAC, choosing an epidural, being induced, or your birth takes an unexpected turn, my role is to provide continuous support, evidence-based information, and encouragement throughout the process.
